Once again municipal elections are taking place.
Nominations close tomorrow. That is on 28 October 2008.
We were defeated at the VEC and we do not have proportional representation in Boroondara. Regardless of what the VEC might say the ALP will be running and running hard this election. Even BRAG says so but they have a hidden agenda and they claim people are ALP when they disapprove of them. Most likely the people they dislike are a rival faction in the Liberal Party.
We support the Kroger faction of the Liberal Party. We believe Boroondara is best served by a Krogerite Council.
We urge all voters to be on their guard against ALP candidates and their dummies. This advice was given by Robert Doyle at the last round of municipal elections and nothing could be more sensible.
Voters must beware. Do not vote for Labor candidates or their dummies.

Sensible advice. Labor candidates are universally bad candidates.
BRAG is great. This blog is hypocritical. On the one hand it says no politics in local government. On the other it attacks ALP candidates and anyone it doesn't support, like the Baillieu-Kennett faction of the Liberal Party. A recent item linked Kennett with the eccentric Higgins activist Diane Anderson. This blog is offensive.

What a pity Jeff Kennett didn’t run? Rumour has it the exposure on the blog http://www.boroondaravotereform.blogspot.com of Kennett’s intention to make Diane Anderson his campaign manager forced him to withdraw. Also the boroondara blog claimed Diane Anderson was the force behind both Kennett and Boroondara activist Mary Drost (Mary has been a contributor to Diane’s Higgins News, despite the fact that she’s a very conservative Lib).
Making Diane your campaign manager is a stupid move Jeff, and I’m pleased you saw the light.
Also the most recent item on the boroondara blog urges voters in council elections to refuse to support ALP candidates and their dummies, and to support Kroger faction candidates, presumably when they identify themselves and I’ve yet to find any.
Funny that. Robert Doyle used to contribute to the Erik Locke blog all his press releases so lazy journos would pick them up, and sometimes they did. On the Locke blog last time Doyle urged voters to reject ALP candidates and their dummies. Seems one of his supporters is using identical language on the boroondara blog!

BRAG opposed a Labor candidate in Stan Stapar and people took notice. This blog is selective. It doesn't oppose all Labor candidates. Only those who don't share its right wing philosophies.
